If you're looking for something to do in Tenerife today, Sunday, May 16th, 2010, why not grab a taxi or take the bus up to the town of Adeje, where the annual Crafts Fair is taking place in the Calle Grande (main street) from 10 am until 8 pm.
Around 60 artisans from around the island will be demonstrating and displaying their wares, among them; ceramics, glassware, macrame, leather goods, jewellery, fabrics and clothing as well as traditional crafts such as ironwork, woodwork, carpentry, musical instruments, embroidery and basketwork.
This is the 10th year of the craft fair in Adeje and will also include products and artistry that are traditional from the island of La Gomera, including their wines, sweets, traditional sauces and candies.
During the afternoon, in the upper part of the main street, there will be folk music and exhibitions of hunting dogs and traditional stick fighting.
