The Sunday Farmers' Market, at the Finca Los Pedregales in El Palmar, is one of many such markets at various places on Tenerife where you can buy local produce; fruit and veg grown in mostly organic conditions, plus homemade cakes and sweets, as well as typical local arts and crafts. This market is held in the mornings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (roughly), which makes it an ideal diversion, while you're waiting for lunch time at any one of at least four excellent restaurants in the valley.
