As the finishing touches were being added to this year's central sand carpet for Corpus Christi in La Orotava yesterday ... another couple of shots give you a preview of the almost completed work of art here and keep an eye on this set of photos at Flickr for, hopefully, more images of today's sand and flower carpets.
Also, according to a press release from Europa Press (via Yahoo Noticias), this year you can follow the progress of the carpet making via the internet on Facebook; the blog of the La Orotava Carpet Makers and also via their Twitter account, where around an hour ago, they said that the wetter than average drizzle in the Orotava valley this morning had not allowed work on the carpets to commence yet.
