Ear, ear ...

Ear, ear ...

Field of wheat, still partially green, in the El Palmar valley, under glorious sunshine and a blue June sky. The Teno mountains are just peeping into the background. Wheat is grown locally for milling as gofio. In September, local farmers will bring their harvests to the day of La Trilla, which is part of the local fiesta and where the wheat is threshed using old methods, involving purpose-built stone circles, horses, bulls and plenty of audience participation.
