We're Going to Germany

Nah, this is not a reference to the 2006 World Cup - though, believe it or not, I did find market stalls in La Orotava, selling World Cup kitsch. This flower carpet, which again is one of the international representations at the Corpus Christi celebrations in La Orotava, Tenerife, was made by the visiting delegation from Mühlenbach in Germany. Most apt, I think, that it includes that most important element which Germany and the Canary Islands share in common - the vines.
